Ingemar Hunold - Project Manager Sustainable Real Estate, Union Investment
Ingemar Hunold is project manager for sustainable real estate in the project management department of Union Investment. The department is responsible for ongoing projects (developments, refurbishments, etc.). Besides the construction projects the department is responsible for the technical and environmental due diligences in transactions and supports the asset management with existing buildings.
Through the portfolio sustainability management Union Investment tries to bring the sustainability topic truly on a technical level. The questions touched are dealing with thermal comfort, skin design, integrated mep-concepts along with consumption data in order to deliver better products to their tenants. Certifications are part of that and will more and more be used as a quality management tool.
Besides the real estate topics Mr. Hunold also covers the whole technical package for Union Investment´s renewable energy fund (windfarms and pv-parks).
The background of Mr. Hunold is architecture (dipl-ing.) and climadesign (M.Sc.). Before joining Union Investment Mr. Hunold was with an engineering company for energy and mep-design in Munich and with architecture firms in Chicago.
