Prof. Dr. Sven Bienert MRICS - Head of the Competence Centre of Sustainable Real Estate, Regensburg University.
Prof. Dr. Bienert finished his studies as Certified Real Estate Manager (Diploma by VWA) at Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg in 1998 and as Dipl.-Kfm. in Business Administration at the University of Lueneburg in 2001 and wrote his Phd-thesis about the “Impact of the new equity capital directive for banks (Basel II) on project funding in real estate”.
Since April 2010 he has been Professor of the IRE|BS Competence Center of Sustainable Real Estate and meanwhile also the Managing Director of IRE|BS at the University of Regensburg. The International Real Estate Business School is Europe’s largest real estate research center. Beside various research activities and projects, he worked for a couple of leading international consultancies with focus on real estate advisory and gained extensive experience within the financial and banking sector. Recently his research agenda is focused on “Green pricing”, as well as on the impact of extreme weather events on property values (called “ImmoRisk”). He is initiator of numerous projects in cooperation with different valuation associations like RICS, TEGoVA, FIABCI, Gif, ÖVI, ARE, member of various sustainability committees of DGNB, Gif, ZIA and Sustainability Fellow of the ULI.
